St. John School Jog-a-thon presented by Atlas Construction Specialties

Students worked hard last week at the 9th annual St. John School Jog-a-thon!  Parents, students, and volunteers, your enthusiasm and support made this year’s Jog-a-thon another success.  Congratulations on a job well done!  Fundraising ends on October 1, and we’re aiming for 100% participation.  Currently, the total amount raised is over $104,000!  Thank you St. John Community for your generous donations.  Visit our 99Pledges homepage to make your donation or to view the latest class standings.

Prizes

Jog-a-thon Celebration Day will on Thursday, October 14.  There are several prizes up for grabs:

    • Springfree Trampoline – Back again this year!  For every $200 raised per family, your family name will be added to a raffle to win a Springfree Trampoline.  Increase your odds of winning…your family will earn an additional raffle entry for every $50 donation beyond $200.  Turn in your donations by October 1st.  Drawing will be held on October 14.  Thank you, Springfree Trampoline!
    • Punish the Principals – Back by popular demand, the GRADE that raises the most money by October 1 will get to punish Principal O’Leary and Vice Principal Kelley with water balloons!  3rd grade – you are in the lead, followed by 7th grade and 1st grade!
    • Cash Grabbin’ Gecko – Families with over $300 in donations by October 1 qualify students to participate in the popular Cash Grabbin’ Gecko game on October 14.
    • Free Dress Day – You have earned a FREE DRESS day for exceeding our fundraising goal of $80,000!  Free dress for the school will be on Jog-a-thon Celebration Day, Thursday, October 14.

Jog-Alert #2

St. John School Jog-a-thon presented by Atlas Construction Specialties

Jog-a-thon is next week!  Students in Pre-K through 8th grade will run/walk a course on and around campus during a scheduled time from September 22 – 24.  Parents are encouraged to come and cheer on their kids!  View the Jog-a-thon schedule here to find out what day and time your child(ren) will be running.  In case you missed it, watch the 2021 Jog-a-thon kick-off video and make sure to read the 2021 Jog-a-thon information packet for details on scheduled jog times, PRIZES and more!

Fundraising Status
Thank you St. John families and friends!  We have raised over $50,000 toward our goal of $80,000.  Jog-a-thon donations are collected through our personalized webpage at 99Pledges.  You should have received an email on September 8 from 99Pledges with a link to your student’s pledge page. Simply share your link with friends and family and make your flat or per lap donation. If you don’t receive a link, you can search and find your student’s page here.

Prizes

    • $25 Scrip Raffle – Students of families with $150 or more in donations by this Friday, September 17 will be entered into a $25 scrip raffle.  Turn in your coupon to your homeroom teacher.
    • Jog-a-thon Theme Song – The CLASS with the most donations by 12 noon on Monday, September 20 will choose the 2021 Jog-a-thon theme song.  Mr. Bretz’ 8th grade class is currently in the lead followed closely by Mrs. Traywick’s 3rd grade class and Mr. Tice’s 7th grade class!

2021 Jog-a-Thon – Save the Dates! 

We are looking forward to our 9th annual Jog-a-Thon, presented by Atlas Construction Specialties! Art Contest

Jog-a-thon Art Contest, Volunteers & Sponsors Wanted

Jog-a-thon Art Contest – Send in your art by Friday, June 1! 
All students in grades PK-7 are encouraged to submit artwork to Señor Pablo or the school office by Friday, June 1. Two designs will be chosen to represent the 2018 Jog-a-thon (t-shirt and poster).
  • Winners will receive a $25 Scrip card of their choice!
  • Artwork should be hand drawn by the student in one-color ink.
Jog-a-thon Sponsors Wanted

Welcome Back Party & Carnival

Meet new and old friends and greet the 2015-2016 school year at the Welcome Back Party and Carnival on Friday, September 18th from 5 to 8pm. This community event includes something for every member of your St. John family. Preschoolers and elementary age children play free games at the carnival, which will be hosted in Egan this year. Middle school kids will be running the games, which include face-painting, cake/cupcake walk, skee roll, the flying fish game, the crazy hat game, and the big-mouth clown game. All of the games are free, and the kids like the prizes, too.

Parents will love not making dinner: food trucks are open at 5:30pm. Buy tickets in advance at curriculum night, or after school in the courtyard.  You can also by food tickets at the event, too.
